Agreement to Terms

By using 6letterwordle.org (“the Site”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Site. It’s that simple.

What the Site Is

6 Letter Wordle is a free, browser-based word guessing game. You get six attempts to guess a six-letter English word. The game runs entirely in your browser. No account is required.

Use of the Site

You’re welcome to use the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes. Don’t do anything illegal with it, don’t try to break it, and don’t scrape it at scale. Normal, fair use is all we ask.

Specifically, you agree not to:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site or its infrastructure
  • Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract content from the Site at excessive volume
  • Reverse-engineer the game’s word list for commercial purposes
  • Interfere with the Site’s availability or performance for other users
  • Use the Site to distribute malware or engage in phishing

Intellectual Property

The game engine, design, and curated word list are the property of 6 Letter Wordle. The core Wordle concept was created by Josh Wardle and is now owned by The New York Times. 6 Letter Wordle is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to The New York Times in any way.

Disclaimer

The Site is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don’t guarantee that the Site will be available 24/7, error-free, or that every word in our list is perfectly curated.

We’re not responsible for:

  • Any interruption or unavailability of the Site
  • Loss of your game stats (they’re stored locally in your browser)
  • Emotional distress caused by not guessing the word in six tries

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, 6 Letter Wordle and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes will be resolved through good-faith communication first.
